Rules for any drive through.

Have you ever gone through a drive through and find that after a certain point, the cashier seems to be annoyed?
Working in fast food for a while I get annoyed at certain things that can be avoided.
I'm going to give you a little insight.

-Have your money ready. Or atleast your wallet out. Especially if there is a small wait. Nothing bothers me more than watching our serve times go up while you fish your money out of your pocket or purse.

-PLEASE don't hand me your money in a wad. -_-

- don't be clever and call me by the name on my name tag. It's not clever.

-if you want your food special ie: no pickles ect, then tell me while placing your order, not as I'm handing you your food. I know we forget sometimes but it seems people are making a habit out of it.

- if your ordering a large amount of something, call ahead and let us know.

- don't hit on me.

- KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! nothing makes us happier than a customer that knows what they want.

- know what size and drink! 9/10 times, when you order a meal there will be an option of sm,med, or large of fries and drink.

- tell me when you are finished. There are times where we ask "will that be all for you?" Multiple times in an order, we wont keep asking so we don't seem rude. So don't just sit there waiting for me to ask if your done. Finish your order with "that's all"

- if its raining, turn off you wipers at the window(s)

- if you have a large loud truck, turn it off.

- no,there is not ketchup in your bag, and it won't be unless you ask for it.

- if we sell wings and you know that we can't do all of a certain piece then don't ask us to do it anyway. We might just put in all of the other instead.

- I do not need to say "ok" after every solitary item you order, if I tell you that you can order than I'm listening to you.

- sometimes your change will be wrong. It's not because we are trying to short you, its because we are human and we make mistakes.

- if we check that your bill is real, don't tell me that you just made it. It gets old after the first time we hear it.

- if I check that your bill is real, don't laugh at me because its "obviously" real. I'm securing my job by doing what I'm supposed to.

- don't pour your old drink onto our drive through. Unless its water, it will attract ants, making it a pain in the ass to clean later.

- no, we won't throw away your garbage. That's why we have trash cans outside! So dont come through and hand me your trash saying " can you throw this away for me"

- we are making your food so take the time to atleast acknowledge me. Don't be on your phone, smoking a cigarette, with your hand slightly out of the window waiting for me to put your stuff in your hand and then just drive away.

- don't smoke when coming through. It makes us gag.

I'm sure I will be adding more as I think of them. Please take these things into consideration the next time you go to a drive through.

Couponing binder made easy.

Well, I've been thinking. I want to coupon, but not that extreme stuff you see on tv.
So I went crazy.
I'm still in my beginning process but so far its pretty simple lol.

Today I got a big pink 5star brand binder from Wal-Mart, still on clearance from back-to-school and some business card holders.
Most people get baseball card holders but I prefer these ones.
I still need to get dividers but after that I'm all set.
Make your sections. It helps to look online to get some ideas.
I have my coupons in each section in exp. Order.
Don't forget about your store coupons! Publix accepts other stores coupons! :)

Any questions?

DIY glitter jar.

I've been seeing these around a lot and I thought I would try and make one.

I used:
Glitter
Jar
Water
Drop of dish soap soap.

First off, I'm not sure what the point is of the glitter but all other tuts say to use it so...I did.

Add the glitter to the jar, a drop of soap and fill the rest with water.
All done.
I'll be going the lid to the jar once I get some :p

The glitter I used turned my water pink, I'm not sure why, but it did. But I'm ok with it.

Also, make sure there is no air in the jar or the glitter will float.

Our donation box.

As I've been going through a lot of stiff around the apartment, I've been getting rid of a lot of things.
We got a little basket type thing to put in what we don't need/want anymore.
I really try and stay away from donating things to places that are just going to make money off of them. So instead, I first give my friends a chance to pick out what they want, next, and its final step, is to a friend of the family. Ms.Tina runs a closet out of her house for people who need clothes for themselves and their children. Almost like a food pantry but for clothes.
It's a wonderful thing that she does and I would much rather people get these clothes for free that REALLY need it instead of a store making money on it.
Ill also donate to a crisis center or a woman's shelter.
I usually donate my 11 mo olds clothes to the teen parenting program at the local high-school.

Of course we try to empty the box ASAP or else we will end up taking stuff out of it :p

Not sure if you should get rid of something? Put it in a box out of sight for three weeks. If you find that you don't need it for something, its probably time to get rid of it.

animal food storage

I'm not going to lie, I'm a relatively lazy person. So you can imagine that after some time, walking across the house to get the pet food and then walk back to put it away got pretty irritating.
My solution?
I have the cat litter, food, and dog food all in three separate containers and keep them very close to where the bowls and litter box is located. GENIUS!

De-cluttering your closet.

In most house holds its the woman that has more clothes than all the people in the house combined (guilty)! So I took the time last night to de-clutter my closet. I took everything out and layed it on the bed.  One by one I tried on every bit of clothing that I own.
I've started following the 10 pound rule. If something is too small but I can fit into it in 10 lbs then I keep it. If its further away or I don't like it anymore it goes in the donation box!
I removed 4 grocery bags worth of clothing from my closet!

It's so nice to reach into my closet and pull something out that I know fits instead of searching and removing almost everything from the hangers.

Enjoy your revamped closet!

More room in a little apartment.

We were decorating our bedroom and simple thought, used a small dresser as a night stand.
Now we have storage for clothes and a bed side table :)
We also got a small writing desk for our computer. Plenty of storage space without taking up a lot of room!
LOVE IT!

Update - 10/16/12:
To save room in our kitchen cabinets, we have a blue 8 door stand bought from Wal-Mart for like $20.
We use it for all of our sons formula, snacks ect. :)
Tell me your space saving ideas :)
